The School of Medicine employs medical professionals who are responsible for patient care in a clinical environment. Nurses, licensed practical nurses, and medical assistants are generally needed for positions located in the numerous clinics throughout the Medical Center as well as some off-site locations. Position provides direct patient care and education for the oncology outpatient population, which includes bone marrow transplant, hematology, and the medical oncology patient population. Normal clinical office setting with some exposure to infectious materials, toxic drugs, some moving, lifting and transferring of patients, considerable standing/walking and variable work schedule. Working knowledge of general nursing theory and practice with ability to recognize and interpret symptoms/conditions and ability to function in new and emergent situations. CPR certification required. Graduate of accredited school of nursing and current RN licensure in the state of Missouri required with 1 year related experience preferred.
