Activation of Access Gates For Lots G and K (WUSM surface lots between McKinley and Clayton) Thursday, October 19
Over the past several weeks, you may have seen the progress of the gate installation at the entrances/exits of surface parking Lots G and K, (the lots between McKinley and Clayton Avenues). This will also effect parkers on Lot F. The scope of work consisted of installing medians, bollards and access gates. The entrance/exit gates are located off McKinley Avenue and Clayton Avenue. Very shortly, the egress off Taylor Avenue to Lot G and the alley will be closed off, as will the alley behind Sirf-East (you will not be able to access Lots F, G or K from Lot B which is located behind Shriner's and BCL as you can now).
Beginning the week of October16, we are asking that WUSM surface parkers utilizing these lots, swipe their WUSM ID badges. We have coordinated the efforts of WUSM Transportation Services and Protective Services for the badge re-read to effect as few of parkers as possible.
Beginning Thursday October 19, the gates will be brought down on these lots. WUSM ID badges will be utilized for access to these lots, as well as an intercom system that is available at both the entrances and exits (push the red button). Signs will be at the gates the week of October 16 to remind parkers.
